Chinese Medicine & Parkinson’s Disease
This course will provide practitioners with a robust background in the pathophysiology of Parkinson’s Disease. We will dive into the complex and varied clinical presentation of these patients. Attendees will learn bedside functional examinations, motor examinations and gait analysis techniques essential for tracking progress. Dr. Shiu and Dr. Ayla Wolf will teach important head, face, and abdominal palpation skills. Acupuncture, Chinese herbal strategies, vagal nerve stimulation, and photobiomodulation techniques will all be shared.
