Get Certified in Nanopuncture

Are you interested in learning more about Nanopuncture and how it could be incorporated into your practice?

Dr. Shiu offers specialized courses on this groundbreaking technique. Each seminar provides you with a specific set of tools to use for both assessment and treatment. In the Foundations module, Dr. Shiu teaches which points and areas on the head, scalp, neck, and points distally in the limbs to palpate in order to choose the most efficient needling points. The student walks away with a basic but complete toolbox to start treating stroke patients and other brain disorders. In later modules, he explains in more detail about how he incorporates photobiomodulation and QEEG technology in his practice and how they can expand and improve treatment options in your clinic.

The Nanopuncture series will change your acupuncture practice. Upon mastery of the system, practitioners will be able to treat Parkinson’s, ALS, and different forms of dementia in addition to brain injury incurred from stroke or concussion/TBI. Your confidence in approaching these cases will increase as you continue to apply Nanopuncture methods to a wide range of symptoms.

Bringing Nanopuncture to my practice opened so many doors for my patients needs. Dr. Shiu is an excellent mentor

Stroke Foundation Module

This compulsory module will cover how to awaken areas of the body that have fallen asleep due to stroke injury, how to restore healthy neurological blood flow to the brain, and how to determine the most effective treatment protocol for each stroke patient and objectively measure their progress.

Lower Extremity / Gait Module

In this module, you will learn how to properly categorize different forms of gait disorder from a neurological movement perspective.

Speech Paralysis and Left Hemisphere Module

The voice is one of the main tools that enable us to communicate clearly, and effectively, and to represent our truest selves.

Concussion / Traumatic Brain Injury Module

The Nanopuncture System accelerates concussion recovery and treats post-concussion symptoms using techniques that calm the nervous system, reduce tachycardia, increase focus, and mitigate hypersensitivity to light and other dysautonomia symptoms.

Autonomic Nervous System and Cranial Nerves Module

The autonomic nervous system (ANS) is like a computer in our bodies that keeps many of our systems running in the “background,” including digestion, perspiration, breathing, swallowing, blood pressure, heart rate, and more.

Upper Extremities Module

The skills learned in this module can also be applied to treatment for carpal tunnel syndrome, tennis and golfer's elbow, hand neuropathy, bicipital tendonitis, post-surgical shoulder and hand issues, and more.

Gut-Brain Axis / Parkinson's, Alzheimer's, and Dementia Module

The Gut-Brain Axis module is the most recent addition to the Nanopuncture seminar series. In this course, participants will learn the relationship of the microbiome to the brain.

Sports and Orthopedic Module

In the Sports and Orthopedic module, Dr. Shiu will teach participants how to apply nerve plexus resetting techniques to treat common sports and orthopedic injuries.

Modern Innovations and Technology Module

In this seminar, Dr. Shiu will teach the basics of photobiomodulation (PBM), qEEG, and laser therapy and how to incorporate these technologies in a clinical session.
